The ambassador of Tunisia Mohamed Heidi Soltani, made a courtesy call to the vice-president Hamilton Mourão, on 13^th March . During this meeting, the excellent relations between Tunisia and Brazil and the way and means to further strengthen the bilateral cooperation mainly in economic and commercial sector were discussed. It is Important to notice that during the last two years high-level visits have been frequent and have created a solid foundation and  dynamic to the bilateral cooperation. In this context, the foreign minister Khemaies Jhinaoui visited Brasilia in april de 2017 to preside overe the third join commission with his Brazilian counterpart while Minister Aloísio  Nunes  visited Tunisia recently on the 20^th July 2018.

Many others visits took place from both countries during this period such as the visit of the Tunisian Minister of Defense, in April 2017, the Tunisian Vice-Minister of Agriculture , in March of 2018, and the Tunisian Vice Minister of Foreign Affairs in April of 2018. From the Brazilian side there was the visit of undersecretary of the Brazilian Ministry of External Relations in charge of Africa and Middle East in April 24^th of 2018, on 3^rd session of the political consultations between the two countries.

Tunísia e Brasil buscam maior proximidade

O embaixador da Tunísia, Mohamed Heidi Soltani, fez uma visita de cortesia ao vice-presidente Hamilton Mourão, no dia 13 de março. Durante o encontro, foram discutidas as excelentes relações entre a Tunísia e o Brasil e os meios para fortalecer ainda mais a cooperação bilateral, principalmente no setor econômico e comercial. É importante notar que, nos últimos dois anos, as visitas de alto nível foram frequentes e criaram uma base sólida e dinâmica para a cooperação bilateral. Nesse contexto, o ministro das Relações Exteriores, Khemaies Jhinaoui, visitou Brasília em abril de 2017 para presidir a terceira comissão conjunta com seu homólogo brasileiro, enquanto o ministro Aloísio Nunes visitou a Tunísia recentemente, em 20 de julho de 2018.

Muitas outras visitas ocorreram nos dois países durante esse período como a visita do Ministro da Defesa da Tunísia em abril de 2017, o vice-ministro da Agricultura da Tunísia, em março de 2018, e o vice-ministro das Relações Exteriores da Tunísia, em abril de 2018. Do lado brasileiro houve a visita do subsecretário do Ministério das Relações Exteriores do Brasil responsável pela África e Oriente Médio em 24 de abril de 2018, na 3ª sessão das consultas políticas entre os dois países.
